With a human touch for humankind
Our family is the second generation to run the Hotel Haus an der Luck. And all members of the family are still very actively working for the hotel. Father Franz, never seen without his blue apron, provides hours of amusement and regales his visitors with humorous stories. Mother Frieda is the heart of the house. She is very active, makes the jams served at the hotel and bakes the best Krapfen deep fried pastry parcels in all of Barbiano. She also tends the garden and the flowers with great passion. Son Alexander is a passionate chef. In the evenings he plays typical lively sing-along music on his accordion. Sarah looks after the office, and the two young daughters, Emma and Vicky, ensure that no-one ever gets bored. The family alpine pasture
For over 40 years Frieda and Franz have been welcoming guests on Alpe di Barbiano, where the family’s small alpine hut is found. A small house in the middle of a clearing, surrounded by green grass. The former simple barn was converted to a small hut with a comfortable rustic living area, which is now used as a refreshment stop. “I have never got bored of this hike. It makes people happy - and you cannot have enough happiness.”
We live and love our South Tyrolean tradition and we want our guests to share in it. They should experience the genuine, authentic South Tyrol - because that is what makes a holiday truly unforgettable and a real experience.
